BMS Aerial - Spring 2007Bristol Motor Speedway, known to the racing community as “The World’s Fastest Half-Mile,” is a .533-mile high-banked concrete oval located in Bristol, Tennessee.  The venue opened in 1961, with a seating capacity of nearly 18,000. 

Today the motorsports facility hosts two NASCAR event weekends each year and boasts a seating capacity of 160,000 — easily making it one of the largest sports venues world wide.

Bristol Motor Speedway is owned by Speedway Motorsports, Inc., a leading marketer and promoter of motorsports entertainment in the United States. SMI owns eight premier speedway facilities (Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Infineon Raceway, Kentucky Motor Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway,  Lowe’s Motor Speedway , New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway) in growing markets across the country.

    I just walked on this track today! The garage was open so I stepped right in.
